To proceed with an application, you need to give your express consent for us, and lenders we pass your details to, to have electronic access to the personal details we hold about you including those supplied by you today. We will need to perform a credit search against you, and we will also need to forward your details to one or more lenders to obtain a line of credit that meets your needs, each lender is likely to require a unique search being carried out. Some lenders will perform a soft search which will leave no record on your credit profile however a small number of lenders still perform a hard search, and a record of each hard search will stay on your credit file for a period not usually longer than a year. Multiple hard credit searches may affect your ability to obtain credit in the future, and all applications with us are subject to affordability and other checks.
